TALK-A-TALE : ROZ’S STORY WORLD!
is a collection of children's stories and songs written and performed by Roz Davidson and produced by her new company Talk-A-Tale Productions. Roz is an award-winning composer, poet, novelist, screenwriter and teacher who resides in Vancouver, British Columbia.
In a combination of story and song, Roz leads children on a journey that offers new perspectives on what being different can be like, and helps them to reach deep inside themselves to find the inner-strengths needed to be proud of who they are!
With over forty minutes of stories and songs, ROZ'S STORY WORLD! combines an audio CD with a twenty-four page printed booklet so that the listeners can read/follow along. In the pursuit of cognizant awareness, interaction is encouraged in designated areas called choruses where the readers/listeners can join in with the sound effects, or create their own!
preparation for her new Children's CD, Roz traveled across Canada from
coast-to-coast visiting libraries and bookstores in major cities.
Everywhere she went, it was the same story... kids
were being bullied and they didn't know how to make it stop.
While visiting Cape Breton Island, the local children's librarian told
Roz that bullying was an ugly, growing problem there. Over the next
several days, Roz worried about how to reach kids who stand out as being
'different' and appear to be vulnerable. The result was the birth
of The Bully - Bully Rap!
Roz explains, "This Rap gives kids the ammunition needed to reach deep down inside for inner strength -- to learn to be proud of who they are -- and how to stand tall against bullies who submit them to verbal and physical pain because they are different!"
